Sandalwood (Santalum album) tree medicinal uses and images

The Sandalwood tree is an evergreen tree that grows 4-9 metres in height. It is hemi-parasitic and can live with over 300 species as co-hosts. It has an upright or sprawling habit. The bark is dark, reddish, or brown.
The leaves are thin, oval to lanceolate in shape, and opposite. The branches are glabrous with a shiny, green surface. The roots form a non-obligate relationship with other plants but does not cause damage to the host tree.
