 Ingredients:

- Black pepper - 1/4 cup

- Basil leaves - 10 leaves

- Palm jaggery - 2 tablespoons

- Water - 2 cups

 Method:

1. Heat a pan on the stove and roast the black pepper until they crackle. Then, grind the roasted pepper into a fine powder.

2. In a pot, add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.

3. Add the ground pepper, basil leaves, and palm jaggery to the boiling water and stir well.

4. Let it simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.

5. Strain the kashayam using a strainer.
